In order for you to get a tree of happiness at home, you only need a few things:
A small pot or stand. A very important nuance is that the pot or stand should not be larger than the diameter of the base of the tree.
A small stick that will serve as a trunk. Tree base. There are quite a few forms of the base, but the most common is the shape of the ball.
Tree crown. For a more beautiful crown for decoration, you can use a variety of improvised tools that can always be found in the house of any person: coffee beans, pistachios, bizarre-shaped pasta, acorns, buttons, beads and others.
The base can be purchased ready-made (ready-made foam blanks are sold in needlework stores) or made independently from improvised means.
The trunk can be made of thick wire, a pencil or a dried twig, which is pre-wrapped with twine or tape.
In order to make a crown, take plain paper, corrugated paper or multilayer napkins. A ball can be formed from a newspaper, wrapped with thread or twine. For strong fixation - cover with a small layer of PVA glue.
Once the glue dries, cover the ball with paint or varnish. Next, you can stick the selected flowers, moss or other decorative elements.
To decorate the crown, you can use any available materials - leaves, coffee beans, satin or silk ribbons, acorns and others. The finished design can also be supplemented with colored pasta of intricate shapes, buttons, pistachios.
Topiary on your own - step by step instructions
If you decide to put such a tree at home, we will teach you how to make a topiary with your own hands from improvised means.
Prepare everything you need in advance:
- finished round billet;
- nice bowl;
- not real flowers;
- a pencil or a wooden stick of a suitable color and length;
- a ball of the same diameter as a mug;
- artificial grass or moss.
The first step - a pencil or stick is best decorated with a ribbon. Place in bowl and secure in bowl with mounting foam.
The next step is to place artificial flowers on the workpiece. Note that it looks nice when there are no empty spaces. Now you can string the finished top of the tree onto the trunk.

pot
The diameter of the pot should not exceed the diameter of the crown ball. In fact, choosing a pot suitable for a product in terms of style and color is not an easy task, so if you first purchased a pot, most likely, you will have to come up with a composition for it.
Crown ball
To create a crown, you need a plastic or paper ball. You can make a paper ball from crumpled paper or newspapers, and then coat the ball with paste or wrap it with thread. Rubber balls are more difficult to use because they lose their shape when pierced. If the decorative elements are not glued, but stuck, a foam ball is perfect for floral arrangements.
Barrel stick
A branch or any suitable stick, for example, a stick from the blinds, which is subsequently painted or wrapped with ribbons, will do. It is advisable to choose a longer stick, because it will be attached almost to the base in a pot and a ball will be put on it. Too short a barrel can ruin the whole composition.
Glue
Any general purpose adhesive will work fine. For individual elements, you may need super glue, a glue gun or liquid nails.
Cement, plaster, alabaster
Glue a hole in the bottom of the pot. Having prepared the solution, quickly stir it, pour it into a pot and immediately insert the stick-barrel until the solution has hardened. Cement will not allow the crown ball to outweigh the pot. But if the pot is already heavy enough, cement can be replaced with polyurethane foam.
Pebbles, sand, shells, colored salt, beans…

How to do:

3. With the help of an elastic band for money, we fix the bast thread at one end of the branch. Lubricate the branch with universal glue and spirally glue the future “trunk” with a thread. From the other end of the branch, we fix the thread again with a rubber band and insert the "trunk" into the ball, which will play the role of a crown.
4. Using universal glue, glue the ball with brown threads to greatly facilitate and speed up the process of gluing coffee beans. For pasting the ball, you can also use strands from a whitewash brush, but threads are much better and easier.
5. Now we start pasting the ball with the first layer of coffee beans. To do this, we need transparent super glue. It is desirable to glue the grains in a different order - with a groove, then down, then up. Glue is applied directly to each grain. Super glue should be used very carefully, because it leaves white spots on dark grains, quickly sticks tightly to the hands and has a pungent smell, so it is advisable to “grow” your tree of happiness in a well-ventilated area. You can also use a glue gun or liquid nails.
6. One layer of grains will not be enough, so be sure to make a second one. To give the surface texture more relief, do not forget to alternate the smooth side of the grains with the one with the groove.
7. It's time to start creating an original pot for our tree of happiness. First of all, we cut off a little bast from the brush, the length of which should be slightly larger than the diameter of the bottom of the glass. Then we grease the bottom with universal glue and put it on the prepared bast. We cut off the threads protruding beyond the edges of the bottom.
8. Now we cut the bast from the brush so that it is 3 cm longer than the height of the glass. We apply universal glue on the side surface of the glass, 2.5-3 cm short of the top, and gradually glue the glass with prepared bast. We tie the pasted glass with twine from below and cut off the excess edges. We trim the tips from above so that the threads are about 2 cm above the edge of the glass.
9. With the help of universal glue, with long strands of bast, we glue the funnel in a circle and screw the trunk of the tree into it.

Topiaries are a chic gift, they are also used for decoration and aromatization of rooms, and such an artificial tree can also be a wonderful gift - for example, a money topiary will attract wealth to the house.
Satin ribbons
Let's try to make a topiary from satin ribbons. If you know how to do it, then it will be very easy for you, but even if you first took up ribbon topiary, you will succeed. So, I’ll tell you about the experience of making topiary from satin ribbons with my own hands.Required:
- about six meters of satin ribbon (not already 5 cm, it is better to take several colors);
- threads, beads, as well as a ribbon for decoration;
- glue gun or regular superglue;
- stick or piece of plastic tube for the barrel;
- pot or bucket;
- material for the middle - a fabric bag, a crumpled newspaper or a ball of foil;
- earth, pebbles, rubble (I used colorful glass for the aquarium).
We make 12-15 roses from a satin ribbon. You can use several shades of ribbon (for example, three or four), or you can get by with one shade - when I made a topiary for my younger sister to decorate a wedding photo booth, I used a beautiful ivory satin ribbon.
We make the middle - for example, crumple foil or an old newspaper, wrap it with threads to make a dense shape. You can wrap it with ribbon, but there is no need - satin roses are quite lush.
The trunk can be made from a branch, a plastic pipe, or any suitable stick. In extreme cases, a dense wire, folded in several layers and wrapped with tape, is suitable. Wrap your trunk with tape, and then glue the trunk to the crown of the tree on one side and to the pot or bucket on the other.
We string a couple of beads on a thread and “sew” the beads and a satin rosette to the topiary. Sewing or gluing should be tight. When the whole ball is covered with roses, you need to prepare the trunk and pot.
Pour a weighting agent into the bucket, straighten all the flowers, if necessary, decorate with a decorative ribbon.
From coffee
We will also make a coffee tree with our own hands. To make a topiary from coffee beans you will need:
- base (plastic ball, foam ball - sold in creative stores);
- trunk (branch, stick, tube);
- a pot or something instead of it (I had a beautiful clay jar last time, but now a regular glass);
- coffee beans (do not save - good coffee has an indescribable bright aroma);
- solution for fixing (I use ordinary putty, gypsum, alabaster, and at least cement are also suitable);
- brown acrylic paint;
- glue gun and glue sticks;
- newspaper or waste paper;
- burlap or other characteristic fabric;
- decor in order to decorate the coffee topiary with your own hands.

By the way, according to the same logic as from coffee, you can make a do-it-yourself topiary from coins. Look at the photo, how beautiful it is to make part of the topiary from coins, and you will get a money tree topiary. You can use ordinary coins by painting them with gold paint, or you can buy special decorative coins (they will shine brightly).The manufacturing principle is the same as that of a coffee tree - you need to take the base, cover it with paint, first partially paste over it with coins (you can do it with a lock - as if coins are shining from an open wallet), and then paste over coffee and fix it in a pot. From napkins
A chic do-it-yourself napkin topiary is literally made from nothing, you will need:- several bright napkins;
- base ball (plastic or polystyrene);
- branch or stick;
- gypsum (any mixture for fixing);
- titanium glue or any polymer glue;
- pot or glass;
- stapler and scissors;
- different ribbons and lace, decor and paper for the pot (can be replaced with a cloth).
So, how to make a tree with your own hands from ordinary napkins:
- First, we make ordinary flowers from napkins and paper clips - we fix the napkin folded several times with a stapler, cut it out in a circle, and crush it in the form of petals.

- We paste over the ball with a napkin, wrap the barrel with a ribbon, dry it;

By the way, you can make a very beautiful topiary from cones, especially since it is quite easy to make. What you need in order to make a topiary from cones:- pot or glass;
- stick, branch, tube - trunk;
- round base for topiary - you can take a foam ball, you can cut it out of polyurethane foam, in extreme cases, a crumpled and wrapped newspaper will do;
- bumps (bigger is better);
- brown acrylic (preferably glossy, dark);
- fabric for decorating a glass;
- decor to decorate your cone topiary - beads, threads, buttons and so on;
- gypsum or any mortar for fixing;
- glue gun and rods to it;
- scissors, brushes.
We start making a topiary from cones with the decor of a glass - we cut the fabric diagonally (so it drapes better), and we fit it, gluing it with a gun. By the way, want to avoid ugly glue marks? Glue where it will not be visible (on the bottom and inside the glass, and the walls should simply be covered).
We prepare the base - we fix the stick to the ball, paint everything with acrylic (it is better to paste over with newspaper first).
We glue the ball with cones, let it dry and fix it in a pot - for this we dilute the gypsum, dip the trunk of our tree and hold until the gypsum seizes.
You can decorate the topiary from cones in different ways, I prefer beads in natural shades.
You can decorate your pinecone topiary with ribbons, hang artificial berries or even small figurines on the pinecones.

Step by step guide to creating a happy coffee tree
- We cut a hole in the plastic ball with scissors, into which the barrel stick will be inserted later, on which the ball will hold.
- We disassemble the bast brush for whitewashing, we need strands of bast.
- With the help of a rubber band, we fix one end of the bast thread on a stick, lubricate the entire stick with universal glue and glue the bast thread to the top, we also fix the end of the stick with a rubber band. We insert the stick into a plastic ball, which will play the role of the crown of the future coffee tree.
- We coat the ball with universal glue and wrap it with brown threads. This is necessary so that the coffee beans, in the future, stick more easily.
- Next, we begin to glue the ball with coffee beans. To do this, we use super glue, which we apply to each grain and glue it individually. You need to glue everything in more than one place, it is recommended to glue it simultaneously from above and below. For convenience, you can use not super glue, but liquid nails or a glue gun.
- To make the ball look more impressive, apply another layer of coffee beans on top of the already glued ones.
- We create an original pot for the coffee tree of happiness with the smell of cheerfulness and freshness. To do this, we again use a bast thread, the length of which should be slightly larger than the diameter of the glass. We spread a number of bast threads on the table, grease the bottom of the glass with universal glue and put it on the prepared threads. Cut off the protruding ends.
- In the same way, glue the side surface of the glass. The length of the bast threads should be 2-3 cm longer than the height of the glass. We apply glue to the glass, lean the prepared threads and cut off the remnants in such a way that all the edges are cut at the bottom and protrude 2 cm at the top. Next, we tie the bottom of the glass with twine.
- With the help of universal glue and long threads of bast, we glue the funnel and screw the finished tree trunk into it.
- Pour sand or gypsum into a glass, screw a funnel into it, gently pushing the “fringe” aside.
- We also tie the upper part of the glass with twine and, if necessary, trim the upper edges with scissors.
- Well, actually, your tree of happiness is ready! Now you can put a couple of coffee beans at the base of the trunk (it will create the appearance of fallen leaves) and, if desired, place a butterfly on the crown of the tree. We put the topiary in a prominent place and enjoy its beautiful view and invigorating smell!

How to make a tree of happiness with your own hands? Everything is very simple. To do this, you need the following set of materials, namely:

To make such a tree you will need the following materials:
- roasted coffee beans - 100 gr.;
- non-spill glass;
- whitewash brush;
- plastic ball shape. The optimal ball diameter is 8-9 cm;
- scissors;
- brown threads;
- two rubber bands for money;
- universal colorless glue;
- sand, gypsum or cement - 200 gr.;
- a branch or stick 20 cm long and 1.5-2 cm thick;
- twine 50 cm.

The second layer is done in the same way.
We create original pot for wood. To do this, you need strands from the brush. We smear the bottom of the container with universal glue and put it on the strands laid out on the table. Threads that protrude beyond the edges must be cut.
We cut the strands of the brush. They should be 3 cm longer than the height of the container. Next, you need to apply glue to the glass. Moreover, the glue is not applied to the entire surface. 2.5-3 cm should be left on top. Next, the container is pasted over with strands prepared in advance. After that, it is tied with twine from below, and the excess is cut off. It is also necessary to cut the strands from above. As a result of this, the threads should rise above the glass by two centimeters.
